Brandt Brauer Frick

Brandt Brauer Frick is a trio of classically trained musicians Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer, and Paul Frick, who have created a kind of electronic music that combines elements of minimalism and techno, then often maps them onto acoustic instruments, which gives them their distinctive sound. This was especially true in their earlier recordings, though in later years, they have been more overtly incorporating electronic instruments and straightforward techno style dance beats into their music. Their stylistic approach and instrumentation drifts into an experimental territory with all the back and forth that takes place between their piano driven organic sound and the dance floor material that has become more central in their recent albums.
