Blood

Blood is currently a six-piece band based in Philadelphia, although they were originally formed in Austin. The band is led by vocalist Tim O'Brien and showcases two brothers on the guitars who have a special synergy between them. Their music has strong post-rock features, but it also comes with a stylistic range: They have hypnotic dirges that build up to a crescendo. They also have parts with calm and lovely piano passages, as well as dissonant segments that lead into Fugazi style post-hardcore bursts. In addition to this breadth, they also adopt an expansive sound where the band takes their time to let their music unfold ... at least this has been their approach thus far.
