Bleachers

Long before singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jack Antonoff became the super producer behind a bunch of albums by major indie artists, he was a member of the early '10s indie pop band fun.. Bleachers is the project he has been pursuing on the side for a while. His early work under this handle naturally has a direct line to fun.'s music, with loving references to the early '90s pop sprinkled all over the place. His fascination with that period still continues in his current work, but he deals it with a much lighter hand ... plus he now tends to concentrate more on a Billy Joel meets Bruce Springsteen sound, which apparently serves as the main artery connecting anyone's New Jersey childhood to the larger music scene. Another constant that has not changed much is his affinity towards the big anthemic moments that find their way into most of his songs, which he of course, pulls off like the expert that he is.
