Beach Bunny

Beach Bunny is a Chicago based indie rock band led by guitarist, singer, songwriter Lili Trifilio. Their music comes with a well-defined big pop punk sound that has been moving closer to the pop side and away from punk with each release, riding on soaring guitars and a steady rhythm section. Trifilio's voice is clearly at the driver's seats on their songs, as she matches the band's high gear on her part by pushing her vocals up. All of this leads to plenty of cathartic, hands in the air, crowd-singing moments for the fans. The guitars are lively, alternating between jangly chords and the above-mentioned soar. The songs have a young and carefree feel about them even when they are pointing at heartbreak or disappointment.
