The Battery Farm

The Battery Farm is a Manchester based band that works in the punk style, loosely speaking, with songs that are soaked in a fairly dark tones and vibing at some bleak frequencies. There is actually a broader stylistic range to their music. Their origins are unambiguously set in the punk world, which is clearly where they are anchored despite the varied textures they began to add to their sound starting around their 2022 album, FLIES. They now coast along the harsher edges of early post-punk a little more, and dive into ballads that perhaps suggest some dark cabaret affinities underneath. The grungy and explosive nature of their music remains a constant as the band continues its tight act in terms of performance, with the Corry brothers, Ben and Dominic leading up front as the rhythm section adds weight and momentum at the lower end.
