Art School Girlfriend

Art School Girlfriend is the moniker used by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Polly Mackey, who plays synth heavy pop songs with a strong percussive component. It is sometimes cool club style beats that sit comfortably under her electronic layer, and other times, muted drum 'n' bass patterns that push her songs forward, as is the case in some of her more recent songs. She sings in a voice that has a gentle quality, floating alongside her instruments, never quite breaking out or taking off.
