1st Base Runner

1st Base Runner is the name singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim Hussman uses in his own work. He brings electronic, post-rock and perhaps a touch of krautrock into his slow-brewing soft goth. His music is introspective with some dark tones, but avoids any all out gloom attack. In terms of its melancholic nature and the shades on his electronic palette, he could be considered in the same range of bands like Psychedelic Furs, minus all traces of pop and the showy parts stripped out or tamped down. His overall tone is relaxed and dreamy, and his songs are tuneful and soulful, moving along in a comfortable mid to low-tempo range. There is a consistent sound to his catalog, with effective world building and storytelling attached to it.
