Wilderado is a trio that plays on both sides of the mythical fence between indie rock and folk rock, who spent a long time building quite a track record through their singles and EPs in the years that led up to their self-titled debut album in 2021. On the one hand, they have an Americana friendly rock thread that adopts a big sound with an affinity towards the late '90s post-grungish alt rock tones and embraces major summer festival caliber fist-pumping sonic soar. On the other hand, they also embrace a simpler folk approach that produces songs ranging from basic acoustic pieces to a broader electric sound. Either way, their music tends to thrive less on its melodic catchiness than its abundance of indie rock hooks.
