Band of Horses

Band of Horses is an indie rock band that originated in Seattle, but is currently based in Charleston, South Carolina. Their music combines a heavy dose of folk rock usually pushing towards a big sweeping sound with sparkly guitars and relatively a mellow disposition. It is led by guitarist and singer Ben Bridwell, who matches the band's mid-tempo, '00s pop flavored tendencies with his vocals. Their overall style has remained consistent over the years though they continue to lean in different directions from album to album, very often fixed around how far down the path to Americana they are willing to go at any point. Otherwise, their catalog primarily revolves around folk rock ideas, executed with a nice, even sway.
