Voka Gentle

Voka Gentle (formerly, Wovoka Gentle) is a trio of multi-instrumentalists, William J. Stokes and the twin sisters Ellie and Imogen Mason who share the electronic, sampling, and production side of their music. Stokes handles the lead vocals more often than not, but the real delight is when they harmonize. The band plays in an eclectic style that incorporates elements of electronic, krautrock, and softer textures of rock combined with just the right amount of avant-garde. There is an experimental side to their music that never actually loses sight of its pop essence. It is an idiosyncratic artistic vision and the band carries it out with a lot of clarity, resulting in songs that are smart, catchy, and well-constructed pieces that have a great time exploring new and different ideas.
