Vel Nine

Veil Nine (aka Vel the Wonder, also Alyssa Romo) is a hip-hop artist based in Baldwin Hills (Los Angeles county) who came to table with strong underground creds that go back to her background as a graffiti artist before she became a part of LA's hip-hop scene. Her songs often have an introspective quality, with a delivery that has a rough, somewhat confrontational edge that also packs a punch as she typically guns through the track with intensity. On the other hand, she also has a melodic style in her rapping and has the ability to slide in and out of R&B style vocals, though this is not something she does frequently.  Especially her early work has fairly soulful tones in production.
