Teddy Swims

Teddy Swims, aka Jaten Dimsdale, is a singer-songwriter who delivers soul ballads infused with distinctly modern pop flavors in his a tad gruff but quite expressive vocals. He got his start doing covers on YouTube and quickly came to prominence with his powerful voice before he started performing his original work as well. There is an air of earnestness to his style and performance that is hard to miss, even as he tends to favor a big sound with swelling waves of choruses more often than not. Part of that comes from the emotionally packed nature of his songs, and part of it from his remarkable ability to project vulnerability. The kind of soul he brings to the table happens to be on the relatively traditional side and quite polished.
