Petite Amie

Petite Amie is a band that plays dream pop that has psychedelic and synth pop mixed in. They have a sound that is quite eclectic to some extent, but it is also consistent in overall style and mood. They are led by guitarist Carlos Medina, who drives some of the songs with his slick acoustic arpeggio. The vocals are handled by the duo Isabel Dosal and Aline Terrein, who sing mostly in Spanish. When they switch to French, they completely capture the vintage French pop flavor with all the misty harmonizing. They play typically at the mid-tempo range, their songs are bubbly and restrained. The band was put together during the pandemic period mostly by musicians who are normally active in other bands/projects, but one can actually hear the fun they are having playing together.
