PawPaw Rod

PawPaw Rod is the stage name used by the singer-songwriter and alternative R&B artist Rodney Hulsey who creates laid-back R&B that mixes it with lively indie pop on the one hand and hints of '70s style retro soul on the other. His music makes use of a lot of downtempo funk grooves, mixing it with occasional rapping. He sings with a Kid Cudi like cadence for the most part, also with a similar sense of melody and overall feel. Hie has been keeping his arrangements nice and airy, with some light keyboard action in the back with vocal multitracks, at least thus far. His songs are catchy and have a nice, bouncy flow.
