Mild Horses

Mild Horses is Matthew Leuw, a singer-songwriter and a one-man band whose music covers a range of styles stretching from shoegaze and noise to electronic music and synth-oriented dream pop. His previous bands had some punk and jangly new wave action going on as well; so he approaches his current project with some variety under his belt. His 2023 album, Return to Dust, brings up softer edges in his sound and for the most part, adopts a more deliberate pacing, bringing the dreamy side of his work closer to the front. A good number of his songs gravitate towards darker tones. His music generally has a solid melodic core with additional emphasis on atmospherics.
