Meet Me @ the Altar (also, MMATA) is a band practically formed online through YouTube. They are mostly a pop punk band with strong emo tones. The band's emphasis is clearly on the pop, though they pack a kind of punch that built careers in '00s. They are often considered one of the emo punk revival bands in the '20s. They are a dynamic band with uptempo songs and an "always on" energy. The stylistic choices Edith Johnson makes with her top of the lungs vocal performances fits well with the genre, while Téa Campbell's blistering and aggressive guitar lines occasionally nod to math and/or metal riffs. The drummer, Ada Juarez's drumming is speedy, loud, and effective, completing the trio.
