Lisel is the classical vocalist, opera singer, and violinist Eliza Bagg, who in her own work combines ambient and electronic music with a touch of pop. Her music is shaped a great deal by her classical background. Her pieces are built on synths, electronic effects, and loops, but they also carry strong chamber music vibes. It is often calm, atmospheric, expansive, and elegant. Her vocals are a key component of her sound. Her voice is clear, pristine, and not to sound like a cliche, but also quite angelic. She uses it as an instrument, which she explores further on her 2023 album Patterns for Auto-Tuned Voices and Delay. That is where she follows the concept of vocal music into wordless songs, putting her voice through electronic filters, even making use of auto-tune effects, as suggested by the title.
