Langhorne Slim is singer-songwriter Sean Scolnicka, a folk artist (born in Langhorne, PA, by the way) who plays a combination of country and blues from a stylistically traditional point of view. Especially his later catalog has been increasingly more aligned with an overall '60s feel in terms of his instrumentation and delivery. He effortlessly brings together old timey songs, from blues on a slide guitar or a piano to campfire tunes to an occasional old school hoedown. His earlier work on the other hand, was more in the folk and pop oriented Americana mold along with his contemporaries like The Avett Brothers and the The Lumineers. What has remained unchanged across that transition in his music is his textured and sharp songwriting, insightful lyrics, and natural flow.
