Kristeen Young is a singer-songwriter and an art rock artist from New York who has a serious avant-garde streak. Her music is volatile, bursting with creative ideas, but apparently has little time for conventional, pleasant songs for the masses. It is intense around beats, takes sharp turns, builds tension, and lets melodies go in unexpected directions.
