Dubioza Kolektiv

Dubioza Kolektiv is a maximally eclectic seven-piece Bosnian band that eagerly crosses into any genre or style of music as long as it has a party potential as they wrap it all inside a Balkan (often Roma) packaging. They cover a range of styles, rap/hip-hop, reggae, ska, disco, rock, and so on, with each member pursuing their own muse. They tie all this variety together with their energetic, passionate, and uptempo dance floor delivery. Their live performances are rambunctious affairs with constant motion on stage. Some of the songs are in English, a lot of them are in Bosnian, the lyrics are often political, with sarcasm levels turned up, waaay up. Dubioza eschews standard channels of distribution for their work in the way they make all their albums available for download on their site.
