Her Dark Heaven

Her Dark Heaven is a project built around bassist, vocalist, songwriter Jack Doyle's idiosyncratic indie rock sound that is distinctive in terms of its stylistic choices and presentation. They clearly favor a darkly romantic tone that is also somewhat theatrical in nature, and mix that with visuals displaying goth esthetics and, especially in their more recent work, heavily religious iconography. Whereas their 2022 EP Poor Luck came with a sharper metal-like edge, alongside apparent glam influences with hints of David Bowie, and occasional spoken word pieces, the music they have been putting out since then tends to be more overtly dramatic in feel in a way that adds a punch to their otherwise relatively pop oriented brooding sound.
