Originally from Mesquite, Texas, currently based in NYC, Hannah Jadagu is a singer-songwriter that started out as a bedroom pop artist who first came to attention with her sophisticated arrangements and hazy introspective songs recorded on a phone and using Garage Band. Her music mixes indie pop with light shoegaze and a layer of dreaminess as she alternates between subdued folk songs and grungy alt-rock along the way. She sings in a soft and misty voice that keeps her vocals somewhat low key. The magical touch she brings to the table has to do with the combination of her songwriting talent and sharp ear for instrumentation that gives her work a level of maturity this early in her career.
