Goth Babe is the moniker for Griffin Washburn, a nomadic singer songwriter who moved between major music scenes (from Nashville to NYC to LA) until he finally made Portland, Oregon his new home. He has an admirably easy going relaxed style and a calm delivery. In fact, he writes, plays, and sings like he's always on a vacation, having packed a small synth on every camping trip (who doesn't?) and is in no hurry to come back. His songs often hang around at the mid tempo level with bedroom pop type layering between his synth, electronic beats, and electric or acoustic guitar, just picking up on lives' little details. Despite the electronic instrumentation and the pop presentation, his indie folk base is not that hard to detect in his music.
