Glass Beams

Glass Beams is a Melbourne based mystery band whose members play behind beaded masks. The only thing known about them with respect to their identities is that they are led by multi-instrumentalist Rajan Silva. What is apparent, on the other hand, is that the trio has an effective way to incorporate Asian styles, whether Middle Eastern or Indian, into their rock based Western forms. The band typically presents themselves in Indian style garb and play music that makes use of microtonality. Rhythmically they have all the syncopated, funky moves, which, when combined with their sliding sound, add up to a pretty slinky feel and a fun, bouncy flow. Their music has been strictly instrumental thus far.
