Gewalt

Gewalt is a Berlin based trio plus a drum machine that they often give full credit as a band member. They make industrial music with all the harsh, distorted guitar noise, the pulsating, dominant bass, and the pounding, primal beats that come with the genre. On the other hand, the level of aggression in their music does not quite hit the ceiling because it is toned down just a notch by their affinity towards post-punk type repetitive grooves and the bass riffs, but the music continues to maintain its dark and ominous tones. From a stylistic point of view, their sound is much closer to a band like Ministry than the genre's pioneers and fellow Berliners, Enstürzende Neubauten. Vocalist Patrick Wagner sings exclusively in German. Note that the second LP in their 2021 album Paradies is actually a collection of their numerous singles released previously.
