George Ezra

George Ezra is an upbeat, jovial indie artist, singer, songwriter, and guitar player who produces up-tempo pop songs with considerable Americana influences. There are three poles that hold his music in balance: an expansive form of indie folk, light country, and indie pop. His songs are often built around appealing melodies that frequently lead to big choruses. His finger picking guitar style vaguely references some of the vintage American folk artists. He sings in a baritone that stands out a little in the context of modern pop but is completely at home when he veers into more blues-inspired melodies. He usually writes perky songs that carry a sense of fun, though his 2022 album, Gold Rush Kid has more than a few introspective ballads.
