G-Eazy

G-Eazy is the moniker for rapper Gerald Gillum, who has a highly polished pop sheen on his mostly mainstream rap style.  He uses common hip-hop beats coupled with catchy ditties. His records often feature guest rappers and singers who add more volume to his songs. There is a level of bravado in his delivery that can be a little over the top. He is clearly an artist highly focused on his career, fame, bank account, and an affection for the usual sex and drugs and rock'n roll lifestyle. That said, his latest, "pandemic lock-down album" steps outside his typical work and lets him access his singing voice, delving into slowed down ballads and mid-tempo pop songs.
