Fucked Up

Fucked Up is a band that started out as a dedicated punk and post-hardcore band engaged in the usual distortion, growling, ranting vocals, and assaulting guitars that come with the style. They built their reputation on their relentlessly raw music. They kept their exploration streak along the way, playing around with hand drums buried in loud rhythms, inserting long and spacious instrumental pieces in between songs, going melodic, bringing in hard rock grooves and riffs, and otherwise expanding their musical vocabulary, even (gasp) delving into soundscape building on occasion. Today Fucked Up is a band that operates off the beaten path and stretches the punk at the core of their music to connect with other styles and approaches to music.
