The French Tips

The French Tips is a trio that brings dance punk energy to the rougher edges of the '90s alt-rock sound, mixed with an element of punk that weaves in and out of their music. Each member tag-teams on the songwriting and vocals, which adds a sense of variety to their songs. That said, since all three leads seem to be working in a similar headspace, the result is a fairly consistent indie rock sound in broad strokes. Their songs are not only strong and clear melodically, but they are also built on old school, fuzzy guitars and punchy grooves that the listener can instantly connect with. It is not hard to see how the band has been influenced by previous act like Bush Tetras, who have carved out a similar sonic niche for themselves a while back.
