Fred again.. (where "again" is in lowercase and followed by two dots) is singer-songwriter and producer Fred Gibson, who creates electronic music that stretches between house style club music and synth driven pop. His pandemic era Actual Life series is a chronicle of life and relationships in confusing times captured in songs that take a look at personal lives at the ground level. He uses samples quite effectively in his song construction whether he is bringing in segments of music, snippets of conversation, or other bits, and integrates them into a memorable melodic core. His songs tend to be soulful and warm, consistently walking the line between contentment and sorrow without swinging to extremes. His beats are sturdy, but can be relatively subdued at times. His 2023 album Secret Life was a collaboration with Brian Eno where he explored ambient music.
