Doohickey Cubicle

Doohickey Cubicle is the duo Alli Deleo and Francis Hooper, who put together a type of music for kicking back and chilling out to after a busy day. It is relaxed and mellow, with bits of dream pop and indie pop mixed in. They have a breezy sound built on strong grooves with soft accents. There is a thread of soul colored soft jazz in their instrumentation as well, something that the band plays up consistently. Both members provide vocals with a soft and misty delivery that perfectly aligns with their sound. They do all this without a layer of gloss laid on top, and a slightly oddball sense of humor that adds to the instant relatability of their songs.
