Demob Happy is a Brighton-based trio whose music is a combination of a few stylistically adjacent threads, starting with the grunge type '90s alt-rock that also tilts towards a classic, riff-heavy hard rock sound at the same time. Then there is the '60s psychedelic component that brings in woozy vibes along the lines of artists like Jon Lennon and Marc Bolan. With some squinting, one can also see bits of glam that lies underneath the '70s style fuzzy guitar layers. All of these parts are woven tightly into a sound that may sway one way or the other in any given song, but has a consistent feel throughout. Add to that their ability to write solid songs and execute them with gusto, and you have a band that has the ability to offer quite a few things to a wide array of audiences.
