Damoyee Janai Neroes, who goes by her first name alone, is a singer, songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist who combines jazz, soul, and R&B, and adds a bit of pop on top. A lot of her work focuses on ballads with clear jazz coloring where her smoky voice feels right at home. She often sings in a nightclub crooning style with a touch of soul and a gentle, smooth delivery. She has good pop instincts melodically, and injects them just enough to give her otherwise delicate songs an understated lift.
