Cope

The power trio Cope is a band that hits it hard with their bursting sound. The threads come from a few sources, including the classic alt-rock of the '90s and a good deal of mainstream hard rock, as well as a touch of post hardcore, though mostly here and there. The band is led by singer-guitarist Tyson Wiebe, who adds plenty of firepower up front, while drummer Mick Hayward and the bass player Christian Nelson, a relatively recent addition to the combo, provide the throbbing back end. Wiebe's guitar work is on the fiery side, especially when the band shifts into the blustering instrumental pieces they come back to with some regularity, where the dials are turned all the way up.
