Connie Constance is the stage name for London based singer/songwriter Constance Powers. Her music was originally pushed into the alternative R&B pigeonhole by her record company, reflected in her early releases, but she has since then gained better foothold in the indie world following the release of her first album English Rose. She has been steadily moving forward to solidify her credentials in indie rock since then (referencing '80s new romantics in her single Monty Python, for instance) She sings in a soft and slightly husky voice. Her songs usually have a nice sway, and has strong grooves to rock out to when she kicks into high gear .
