Carla Geneve

Carla Geneve is a singer-songwriter whose music can pack a lot of indie rock energy wrapped inside big, head-bopping, foot-stumping, sing-along choruses, but can also dive into tender songs in the mid-tempo range that are more on the contemplative side. She uses song dynamics pretty well as she creates dramatic layers in her music to build tension that helps her push the song  to a higher gear. Her music entertains a lot of such well-established alt-rock devices without being overtly alt-rockish about it. Despite all her fuzzed up electric guitar presentation, her songs remain highly introspective at their core, and she sings them with a lot of passion and conviction.
