Boston Manor is a five-piece rock band from Blackpool with uptempo and high powered songs and energetic attack. They started out as a band that drew a great deal from the '90s punk rock bands like Blink 182, Green Day, and The Offspring. After their initial outing, the band started to slide into a slot that placed more emphasis on the rock and less on the punk. They began to groove more, as well as bring in shades of pop aesthetics (see Only1). Their songs began to adopt a broader dynamic range and multiple gears connecting quieter tones with tension, building up to explosive crescendos. The singer, Henry Cox, matches these dramatic shifts step for step with his own vocal gymnastics.
