Singer-songwriter april june (aka Victoria Zolotukhina) is a dream pop artist who leans more towards the pop side of the template. Her music is dreamy for sure, and there is plenty of pastel shimmer to go around, paired with some haze in her vocals. But she also tends to opt for an earthy and danceable sound in her arrangements that, to some extent, channel the spirit of '80s synth pop as filtered through bedroom pop, rather than going all in on an ethereal feel. The sense of melancholy and longing that permeates her music throughout work pretty well with her generally uptempo sound.
