Acid Dad is an indie band that makes psychedelic music with some of the '90s alt rock and garage rock elements also mixed in. One of their more prominent features is the way the two guitar players Vaughn Hunt and Sean Fahey are locked in to one another, which helps them interweave their riffs and solos. They produce solid guitar lines together. There is a good amount of reverb that also contributes to their hazy vocals, which handle quite a bit of the melodic load of their songs. The band often plays at an unhurried pace, with instrumental passages that evocative of some of the bare guitar work and a touch of jangle from the late '70s as they are of the classic jamming oriented psychedelic bands that were active earlier in the decade.
