Moroccan Lounge is a venue built on a spot that has been various other bars in the past, renovated and opened in 2017 as a combination restaurant-bar and music venue for hip-hop and indie acts. It is owned by the same folks who also turned the Playhouse Theater into Teragram Ballroom. It is one of the smaller venues in the Los Angeles area, and naturally attracts smaller and dedicated group of fans. The music room is off to the side and is accessible through the bar area, and it is an intimate rectangular space with the stage at the one end. The Lounge is located in the area that is squeezed between Little Tokyo and the Los Angeles River, close to the 101 freeway.
It is in the music room at the opposite end from the stage.
