Canterbury Records has been in the business since 1956, so there is a lot of history in the store. It sits at a great spot on the Colorado Blvd in Pasadena, within a short walking distance of the town's main hub. As you enter the store, the large space just ahead is reserved for CDs, which is clearly their emphasis. There are some new ones, for sure, but a lot of them are used. They have a good collection of rock and hip-hop and other genres as well, but their sweet spot has to be jazz, blues, and bluegrass, for the most part. The right side of the store has an atrium for records and DVDs/Blu Rays. Their record selection is not as deep and wide as their CDs, but they have quite a few music related DVDs.
