Amoeba Music

Amoeba Music is a major record store that originally started in Berkeley, California in 1990, then added two more stores in San Francisco and Hollywood. The SF store has pretty much every genre and style of music in every medium, new or used, mainstream or oddball. The racks are separated by genres and main subgenres. There is a wide selection of of new and used albums, in whichever format. They also have turntables and other music related accessories and devices, as well as DVDs and Blu-rays, regular ones, whether music related or not. They occasionally hold performances in the store, and as one can imagine, they are able to attract some big names for those shows.
