Diamante Perez

Diamante Perez is a guitarist, singer-songwriter based in Wichita, Kansas who works mainly in Mexican folk. He focuses mostly on romantic ballads (corridos) performed on acoustic guitar and a small accompaniment that consists of a second guitar and a bass, the latter, with some pretty nifty lines by the way. His songs carry quite a bit of melancholy with them, as such ballads generally do, but they also come with a good beat that gives them a nice pep. He has a sweet voice and his guitar work has the sharp and bright tones that are typical of the genre.
