WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival held annually in England and founded in 1982 by Peter Gabriel, among others. It is a celebration of artistic diversity and features musicians and other artists from all over the world and encourages collaboration among them. It has taken place in Charlton Park in Wiltshire near Malmesbury since 2007. Given its diversity, attendees can expect to find a little bit of the familiar and a lot that's new and interesting. In addition to performances, there are workshops where attendees can learn more about those new and interesting works. They can also expect to find a wide variety of international foods, crafts and wares for sale. It is also a very family-friendly event with plenty of activities for children.
