Yasmin Williams

Guitar player extraordinaire Yasmin Williams may very well be the first virtuoso on her instrument who got their start through the game Guitar Hero 2 ... or at least it feels like it. She has been working with the acoustic guitar exclusively thus far (or a guitar-harp). She plays typically solo, with rapid finger picking as her primary method though she also uses a bow on occasion or lays her guitar on her lap, freeing both her hands for tapping. Her music is highly melodic, mostly in the traditional instrumental folk style with some classical music influences and a touch of ambient.  She is very expressive on the instrument and can project a range of emotions and evoke a sense of longing and hopefulness even though all her songs are instrumental.
