Walo Olapoju is walo, the underscore., a producer with a keen ear towards a variety of styles built typically (but not always) around electronic instrumentation and danceable, glossy pop with catchy tunes and beats. His music is quite versatile, as he moves through synth pop, electronic pop, and house music. He also takes elements of R&B into his work quite often, especially in his vocal melodies, which helps create quite an amalgamation of sounds that are centered on a cool club feel. There are also some African musical elements infused into his work, though in more subtle doses. He is particularly striking in his Sampha mode, mixing his relaxed beats with soulful vocals.
