Molly Burch is a singer-songwriter whose music draws from different eras and styles of pop, particularly the '70s and the '80s, creating a melodically sharp hybrid sound. This is a development that came mostly out of her 2021 album Romantic Images, which was shaped partly by her collaboration with the members of Tennis, Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, who happen to share a similar predilection towards finding inspiration in different periods of pop history. In her earlier recordings going back to the late '10s, Burch was known for her particular mixture of folk and pop that she delivered with a touch of jazz in her vocals, no doubt a carry over from her training. There are also distinct Kate Bush shades and charisma in her voice, which has been a constant throughout her work.
