Sue Foley is a blueswoman who has been building a remarkable catalog since her 1992 debut Young Girl Blues, who stood out right from the start with her guitar skills. Originally from Ottawa, she moved to Austin and continued to hone her skills in that rich Texas blues environment and continued to extend her reach into adjacent styles whether it is the shuffle, Chicago blues, country blues, roots rock, and so on. There are times some pop tendencies peek through here and there in her catalog, but at the end of the day, her music is strongly anchored in Texas blues. Her output slowed down quite a bit after 2010, but she continues to release new music. She is also known for her signature pink telecaster, the titular character in her 2022 album Pinky's Blues.
