Ruido Rosa is a rock band based in Mexico City who has been active quite some time despite their relatively sporadic output. They play mostly muscular and traditional type of rock, though they brought more indie elements into their 2019 EP, Fragmentos. Their music is strongly riff-driven with bassist Carla Sariñana and drummer Alicia Zepeda serving as solid anchors. Daniela Sanchez's guitar lines are not necessarily aggressive but she packs a punch. Their earlier work, the self-titled 2010 debut album was filled with far more hard hitting and head-bopping songs, higher distortion rates, and overall volume. Having turned that down a notch, their music is now focused more on their hooks and melodies, with a sweet pop layer on top. Singer Alejandra Moreno has an expressive voice that brings a nice dynamic feel to the songs.
