Potatohead People

Potatohead People are Vancouver area producers Nick Wisdom and AstroLogical who are locked into a sound that mixes downtempo R&B, low-key funk, and cool jazz influences to create chill music with late night club vibes. Hip-hop is also a key component of their sound, with beats that range from classic boom bap to the trickier ones with J Dilla flavors. Some of their pieces are instrumental, but quite a few of them benefit from various guest vocalists who bring out the soulful nature of their tunes, whether they are providing some R&B swoon or leading with their smooth, laid-back rapping. Their style has been fairly consistent since their beginnings in the early '00s.
